Smartphone lovers always wait for the next iPhone or Samsung Note, Gamers always wait for the next big console, and photographers wait for the next Canon. This time we’re focusing on photographers as we have some rumors about the upcoming Canon 6D Mark II.
Yes, the camera is expected to come out next year and no, it is not coming out in January. Many sources state that the Canon 6D Mark II may arrive in the second quarter of 2017. However, until something official is announced by Canon, we can only say that these are all just rumors.

Moreover, some people at CanonWatch stated that they have gotten their hands on some viable information regarding the next model, which may be enough for most photographers to start saving for it.
The new model is expected to have a 24 or 25MP sensor, a new AF system (possibly 19-point), a tilting touchscreen, Dual Pixel AF, and NFC/WiFi/GPS. The disappointing news is that the video capture tops out at 1080/60p, which means that there is no 4K video capability. We know it’s disappointing but what can we say about it. Let’s just hope Canon changes their mind in the last second about video capture.
Apart from this, CanonWatch also noted that the model will hit shelves at a cheaper price than its predecessor. The 6D was launched at a market price of $2,100 and we expect the Canon 6D Mark II to cost almost $2,000. However, all of this is just a rumor till now and we can’t be sure of anything till Canon makes anything official. But you can expect much more such rumors to come out before any such announcement.
