Dubai is looking into possible routes to incorporate the first ever Hyperloop, which is a high-speed transportation system that carries passengers and goods through a pipeline in levitating capsules. The system is a product by Hyperloop One.
The Hyperloop is a dream project of Elon Musk, the man behind electric vehicle maker Tesla and SpaceX. Dubai is the first country to strike a deal but Hyperloop One is also considering on building tracks in other countries such as Russia, UK, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, and Netherlands.
However, Dubai has already received a head-start and if all goes according to plan then the first passenger track may be operational by 2021. One of the routes that is being considered is a 102 miles track between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. This route takes almost an hour by car but with the Hyperloop will take merely 12 minutes.

The Hyperloop system works through an electric propulsion that moves a capsule along the pipe in a low-pressure environment. The Hyperloop speed crosses 740 miles per hour, which is incomparable to anything seen or reached before. After the company’s first public test for acceleration, it has already raised $80 million in new funding.
